February Catch-up

I'm organizing photos from February.  It was gray and snowy/rainy but there were a few glorious days that hinted at spring, lots of activities, the Olympics!, etc.
Here's the month-in-photos:

The month started with Ella dancing in her first Feis (Irish Dance Competition--pronounced "fesh").  No good photos from that day but here they are in class the day before.
A few days later Ella spent the day with a friend going to a performance of Swan Lake.  The boys and I went to our favorite park armed with nets and buckets.  We hunted for tadpole eggs (to no avail), caught minnows and explored the woods.

The Olympics were, of course, a big deal and we let the kids stay up late watching the opening ceremonies and some events, too.  They all fell asleep in front of the tv for a few nights.  Favorites were watching luge and seeing Shaun White rock the half-pipe.  Here's Ethan being carried to bed.

The rest of the photos are just day to day snapshots:
Every week we host Girls Club for the 7-9 year olds in our homeschooling group.

Some of Asher's favorite places are up in trees.  Here he is in a mangled cherry tree in our yard.
The boys playing ocean in the sink.
Asher, Ethan and Matthew doing their favorite activity:  playing "men".
The boys dancing to Vaughn Williams' The Wasps.

The kids' favorite school starter is "map".  We do it every morning.
