Chamber Music

Ella's chamber ensemble won Honorable Mention in (fill in the blank!) University's new competition.....High School Division!  They were asked to play in the lobby as people were coming to the winner's concert.  They played well, we watched the concert, and then they serenaded a strange college girl for her birthday in the frozen yogurt place afterwards.  The boys loved the dessert....but not all the waiting.

We're thinking of changing the name of their group to "Electric Salmon" because of the dresses!

Waiting....

...and more waiting.  See that look?  It says "Mom, can we go NOW?"

It's all worth it when you get frozen yogurt later!

Addyday,  eway issmay ouyay!  ovelay, usay

Oh Sarah, this is wonderful!!! What did they play?
Ella has got her end-of-the-year recital with her teacher coming up, they're playing the Vivaldi a minor together- her teacher doing the violin duet part instead of doing the piano reduction.
Then she's got her final suzuki violins concert end of the month.
She is not in a chamber ensemble such as this one, but I know she'd love it so much! Do you think the Ellas would want to play any of the suzuki duets together? I could see my Ella being too self conscious though. Hmmm.
