Digging Out

There is a scene in one of our favorite Little Bear episodes where Little Bear and his parents get snowed in at Grandmother and Emily's house.  They wake, open the door, and are greeted with a wall of snow.

All turns out well, of course, because soon Moose shows up, having dug a path home for them.

Ah, we love Little Bear!

Well, it wasn't quite a wall of snow but, after snowing steadily for three days, we woke this morning to SO MUCH SNOW! 

 A few feet.

The kids' Christmas snowshoes sure have come in handy.

We've spent the morning digging out.

Stuck!  Time to get chains for the 4-wheeler!

Not sure how long this will be fun....but today I really loved shoveling.
