It is good.
We're back home and still not quite up to full-steam. The photos are still on the camera. But we've been having lovely summery things happen to us and here are some of them, so I don't forget:
- playing in the irrigation
- snowcones
- hiking the most beautiful, newly discovered trail in the canyon
- soccer times three---oh, yeah!
- corn on the cob
- grilled pizza with garden harvests (try this one: tomato sauce, garlic, tomatoes, kale, basil, leftover corn, mushrooms, cheese. Or this one: bbq sauce, leftover bacon, corn, kale, basil, cheese)
- farmers' market (where I purchased 1/4 of a cow!....and beets, basil, carrots and eggs)
- minor surgery for Asher (ok, so this isn't lovely, per se, but it went very well and the kids spent the rest of the morning eating popsicles and watching movies)
- raspberry picking with splendid views--7 lbs...and more next week. They'll help me to rival Celia's pies.
- freezing beets and pesto
- hanging out laundry (one of my loves...silly, but true)
- camping under the stars (ok, so it poured at 1 am)
