The Fremont

We meant to drive around Cathedral Valley but one way in was too sandy and we turned around rather than get stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

The other way in was a river crossing.  Sadly, our minivan just doesn't have the drive or the clearance. 

So we stopped a bit and, instead of crossing, just waded. 

It was hot, the sun beating down with such force as it does in the desert...even in mid-April. 
The water felt soooooo good.

Luckily we had the foresight to bring suits and play boats.
