Week 2/26-3/2 Plans

I know this is Wednesday and this is just going up but better late than never. 

• Phonics: review digraphs sh and th, review short-vowel sounds, continue reading from site word books/phonics books/others: Frog and Toad


• Math: ordinals, patterns, number line, word problems (solve through pictures), review odds/evens/pairs


• Preschool:  Colors:  play with our counting bears and sort by color, lots of singing (If you're happy and you know it, wheels on bus, She'll be coming round the mountain, lou lou skip to my lou, Mama's takin us to the zoo tomorrow, etc)


• Story Studies: Sweet Dream Pie


• Begin nature notebooks/walks again.


• Listen to and read Peter and the Wolf


• Embroidery (back stitch), playdoh, paper chains/other random paper cutting

Other of interest:

• they've been listening to Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Jim Weiss Tales from the Old Testament on CD.  Wendy made her own Robin Hood book.  John IS Captain Hook and goes around house saying "Ahoy Matey" and "Oh-Ho!" and brandishing his (foam) sword


• Signing Time :  Family, Feelings and Fun


• John is learning to ride a scooter!  Lots of practice today (sunny and sort of warm!) 2/28
