We have decided that IF we were to move to a city (which we are not) then Vienna it might be! Compared to NYC living, Vienna is comfortable, convenient, and civilized.
Speaking of civilized.
We are trying to maintain a good balance between sightseeing and home life. Since we are here as tourists but are getting a bit more of a taste for what life here would REALLY be like as we have a nice comfy apartment and a two-month-long stay, we have the luxury of (at least the possibility of) balance.
It is a beautiful situation.
Come sightseeing with us for a moment:
Schloss Schonbrunn:
| Trying to be like Sisi |
| At Schonbrunn's Children's Museum---we got to see how the royal children lived. |
| Random shot of cuteness |
| Having a "ball" dressing up. |
| Ethan as "Prince" and Ella and Asher as servants |
Vienna Woods/Kahlenberg:
| The best birthday hike ever! |
| Vineyards right at the edge of the city! |
| An oddly large worm |
| A memorial to the Turkish invasion 1683 |
| View from Kahlenberg over Vienna |
| An oddly large snail |
Musikverein:
| Waiting to see a concert---standing room seats |
