Flying

We try to give our children wings.

Today as we were leaving gymnastics, Ella asked "why is it called Airtime?"
Asher promptly replied enthusiastically,  "Well, it's because you are basically learning how to fly!"
This boy who has been flipping tricks on the IKEA rings in his bedroom from age 2.
He is quick in gymnastics.  Especially on those rings.  Strong muscles and light body, combined with bravery, control, and focus puts him high in the air, turning flips with ease.

Flying, for sure!

And speaking of....we've been doing another sort of learning-to-fly of late.
We've been here:

Learning this different kind of flight.
The beauty in this world is that there are so many kinds!

Ethan's first day!

Confident Girl

"This is easy!" he thinks....and that in itself is a kind of flying!

First time for Asher on the chairlift

And for Ethan, too!

"There are two lasting bequests we can give our children:  one is roots, the other is wings."
