Carnival::Hipstamatic
Oh, the annual Carnival is in town.
My kids look forward to these 2-3 hours all year.
(I'm usually ready to leave after 20 minutes.)
Since this is a yearly event for us, something that we've done every year since Ella was about to turn two, it's fun to watch the kids interests change and their courage grow year to year.
This year Asher went on the Gee Whiz (Ella's favorite) for the first time.
I was nervous.
He loved it.
He and Ella were Gee Whiz pals for the rest of the evening.
They convinced Scott to join them and it made him feel whoozy.
Ethan went on rides alone this year. All of them designed for his age, but ones that I went on with him in the past.
The big yellow slide. The dragon roller-coaster. The bounce-bridge-slide maze.
And he jabbered away the whole time in absolute excitement.
It was a joy to me.

For a break, we went to the grassy hill nearby and they had just as much fun racing down it.
