We've been combatting the cold by enjoying beach days in the sun that streams into our house in the afternoon. The boys put on bathing suits and spread out "water" and even brought in fans to mimic the breeze off the ocean.

We've also been doing a lot of painting. Watercolors are our medium of choice: tubes and pencils and cakes.

| Asher paints a knight fighting a dragon (look at his expression! He must be worried about that beast!) |

| Ethan paints "the sky and the sun and a tree and a diving board that is Nana and Tools' dock" |
We discovered another (and hopefully our last) bunny birth on Tuesday. It was rather unpleasant as there were three babies and the mother had eaten two of them (apparently not uncommon?). We rescued the last and are attempting to foster it with Pip and her 2-week old litter. Nursing is happening! It just may work!
Ah, the adventure continues....

I must say, I so love the children's art work! I especially love Ella's, the use of color is wonderful.
Oh beach days, what a good idea! If our house wasn't so drafty, and well- freezing cold then we could do this too! As it is, we are all in woolens, while inside. Sigh.
Melanie,
They'll just have to play "polar beach day" or some such thing! Pretend they are polar bears or foxes or lambs at the beach and it will explain why they're all "furry".
Wish we could get the kids together---I always reminded, reading your blog, how alike our kiddos are. Interests, play-styles, etc.
S
you should name one of the bunnies cornelius.
